TIP Use AUTODIFF/ compare part models, engineering changes

you can use AUTODIFF to compare new part models, to old part revisions.

Ya know, EO's or  engineering changes.

1. make stl files of each, old and new.

2. load one as stock, the other as design ( make it yellow for ease in display)

3. before you run autodif, you must create a cut stock, so point to any toolpath, and press the play 1 step button.

4. in autodif, set comparison type to both.

5. set gouge and excess to red and  blue

6. check the display stock box

7. compare

the added material is blue, where you need to cut more away is red

I have found thing this way that others have missed overlaying models, with different colors in Catia and UG

have fun
