Hello everyone,
I would like to know what you guys thing about this topic:
While testing VERICUT 7.4.1, we discovered that double clicking on an In Process file in the project tree, VERICUT now "opens" the In Process file instead of doing a "merge" In Process file.
"Opening" an IP file means that the entire project is replaced by the content of the IP file.
"Merging" an IP file means that only the setup that contains the IP and the setups above are replaced by the content of the IP file.
Since years double clicking on the IP causes a "merge", now it is intentionally changed to "open".
This change is even documented in the release notes of VERICUT 7.4.1.
I cannot understand what could be the reason for this change. This change does not please our VERICUT users.
As double clicking IP files in the project tree is frequently used in our company, it is part of our habits.
This change will certainly lead to mistakes, crashes and scrap parts.
So we asked our support to change it back to "merge".
Kind regards,
Lesley
