Optipath files in multi-user enviornment

Hello All,

Am wondering, as "we" get into using more functionality of the software, is there a way to save/transfer opti path records from one PC to another? Would an opti path record, say for a .5"ø carbide ball mill have to be recreated "x" number of times to get all the material and machine settings, so one could just select a .opti and pick the material and machine desired and have all the parameters already set?

What are some best practices to using .opti for numerous tool types, diameters, etc...

Regards,

Victor D.

Re: Optipath files in multi-user enviornment

I think the relative parameters are stored in the tool library. it has been some time since I have had Optipath available to me but I think at my past place we stored this info in a master tool library shared on a network. note we had different ones for different machines.
hope this helps and or some one a little more knowledgeable chimes in.

Doug

Doug,

That does appear to be the case. Just tested it with the mirror image of the RH part. Pointed to said .tls database and tada, magically appeared..........thanks man!
