I occasionally get this error. The tool is displayed fine in the tool manager, but when I MDI it in, the insert is displayed, but not the holder. There is an error in the logger "No Triangles Generated" and the path to the STEP file is shown.
I'm interested to know what steps some of you take to correct this?

Mike,
Are you using the option "Remove reference" when you import STEP models?

Hi Daniel,
I did use the option "Remove Reference" but it made no difference.
I did have the STEP file as one file with both the tool head and holder combined. When I split it into two solids, it worked ok,

That´s interesting... When you add the model... in the dialog there´s an option "Assembly" which brings multi-model assemblies as separate files...
What does it do when you check that one?

Ahhh... Try to Polyfix the model.... Sometimes bad models can do that...

Thanks for the tips Daniel. I'll try them out today

Mike, do a test..
Try to create a parametric model from VERICUT in the location of the model you´re having problems with... Load it in MDI... if it appears Ok, then it´s probably a bad model...
