Variables in Siemens 840D

Hi,
I have a problem with for example $P_UIFR[1,Z,TR] as work offsets. This word and all corresponding as $P_UIFR[5,Y,TR], $P_UIFR[3,X,TR] are defined as Macro, sub type Numeric. Nothing here is changed from the Siemens 840D template ctl-file.

A bit of the tool path looks like:

$P_UIFR[1,Z,TR]=395.73        (this is the fixture height, just read in, not activated)
G54                                      (activates the 395.73 as a workoffset)

$P_UIFR[5,Z,TR]=$P_UIFR[1,Z,TR]
$P_UIFR[6,Z,TR]=$P_UIFR[1,Z,TR]

Those two rows makes the problem: I can't get the value (395,73) out from $P_UIFR[1,Z,TR] and get it into $P_UIFR[5,Z,TR]. Vericut thinks that everything except a 1-9 after the "=" is zero.

I have tried different ways with different result, but haven't succeeded all the way. I hope this should be simple??  yikes

Anyone?? Please!

Thank you!

Best regards,

Svante
