sampling frequency & resolution of cutter-part intersect

Hi, all

I am new to Vericut. And I am trying to get the cutter-part intersection in Vericut by using the OptPath-API. But I can not change the pixel size and sampling frequency (sampling distance). Is it true that the sampling distance is always 10 pixels? Seems it doesnot matter what the sampling distance specified in initialization.

Thanks in advance

Re: sampling frequency & resolution of cutter-part intersect

Hi,

Sorry, I should use the terminology in Vericut.  "The pixel size" means the gridSize in the map structure s_OPAPI_MAP. The sampling distance means the resolution specified in the function: void opapi_set_resolution(double distance).

My question is: what is the relationship between (gridSize & resolution distance) and (part size & tool size, etc.).  what is the minimum gridSize? what is the minimum resolution distance (10 times gridSize)?

Thanks
