Hello All,
I've been doing quite a bit of work/troubleshooting with the ECV and have stumbled onto a few issues and solutions. One of them seems to be, which might affect other interfaces is, the length of the file path. Not sure if this would create a problem for template/project location, but if the file path and name for the NC files exceeds a certain number of characters, then Vericut will fail to launch.
In our testing, a file path of 149 characters failed to launch Vericut but when reduced 130 it worked fine. So......I am wondering if anyone knows the exact number of characters that can be used when selecting the NC file location?

For Windows the files selection dialog is limited to 260 characters, when using the ANSI version, the Unicode version is restricted to 34kB, so neither limit seems to be as low as yours.
On which platform are you running Vericut?
Do you use a multi-byte language, like an Asian one?

Stefan,
Thanks for the reply. We are currently using Vericut 7.3.3 Win 7Pro SP1 x64Edition. I am sure it has something to do with the ECV functionality due to the fact, we can run the interface if the NC file is not selected, Vericut will fire correctly. We can then add the .nc file from the exact same location, file path/name >140 characters, and run the project from within Vericut without issue.

I would report this as bug to the CGTech support, since it doesn't make sense to have the interface work differently from the interactive session.

What version of Unigraphics must we run in order for the Vericut interface to work? Also, I cannot find the version 6.0 documentation for how to use the UG->Vericut interface.
