I have a lathe with a live tailstock quill that rotates.
I want it to spin with the part when M3 or M4 are activated.
I can get them to jog together in MDI mode and when I MDI an M3 only the main spindle spins.
Any suggestions?
I'd paste in my G-Code Processing if I knew how.
But that's another learning curve on how to use this site.

I read the Help on ActiveSpindleActiveStock but the Help makes very little since to me!
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I sent a file summary to support and Patrick Garneau work his magic and gave me the info I needed to make this work just like I wanted it to.
A big Thanks goes out to all involved.

Care to share it with us? The procedure I mean. I'm curious to see how this is done.

For me I used the ConnectCompName macro...text=Quill - After then ConnectToCompName macro...text=Spindle - After
This made what ever is on the quill rotate with the main spindle in my lathe because I have a chuck with moveable jaws on my Tailstock I needed to see if there would be any collision issues when the part was spinning so now both chucks spin. If I knew how to attach a picture I would do that.
I hope you could follow that. Give it a try or tech support could help you.

Thanks for the reply. I can make sense of that (I think ). I'll give it a go when I get a chance.
If I get stuck, I can certainly talk to tech support, as I am answering this message while sitting in a Vericut training session at CGTech in Irvine CA

So how was your training class? Who was the instructor? Did you go to machine build or the control build class? Why California, are you close to them there in Irvine? My company will no longer allow us to go to anymore Vericut events, be the training or the user events. I'd always got good info and met great people at those events.

It´s not my business I know... out of curiosity... Is that decision driven by cost reduction or something else?

The cost and time away. Most of our issues get resolved in house, but tech support been great on helping when we ask.

I´ll second you in regards the technical support. They´re usually very helpful.
It´s sad that bosses are mixing up technical support with user events. Even though I´m an experienced user, I always come back with new tricks in my wallet whenever I go to a VUE...

Based on the post date, I know who the instructor for that class was- Shhh... don't say anything "bad" about him... (It was me.
I hope you learned a lot in VERICUT training, and were able to plug right in at work upon returning.
BTW- really appreciate all the positive comments about our Support Group!
Never be too bashful to ask- you'll be pleasantly surprised how much you can do with VERICUT software.

Why did I choose to go to California? Am I close to them in Irvine? No, I'm actually in New Zealand, so it is a 12 hour flight for me to attend.
I chose to attend at Irvine because I have always had quality training there, and there is nothing better than the source . I attended the Verification class, but mainly chose to attend that again (I have done it once before) because I had two days of one on one training following it, and I was on my way back from Chicago.
The course, and training, was outstanding, as always. CGTech is a top notch company, and that is reflected in the quality and helpfulness of all the staff. Any time spent being trained by CGTech, is money well spent.
They could teach other companies how to provide support.
Not to mention the hot sauce provided to accompany lunch one day
