stl

what is the best way to save a stl file from vericut after the file has been run, I want to use it in my next operation in a mastercam session.
it seems to take forever to save, it also looks terrible and I have no idea where in the heck it is saved to coordinate wise?

Re: stl

File > Save Cut Stock > STL

You could try reducing the triangles.  It will also be output by default to the Active Coordinate System, change the active coordinate system if you want something different

Remember also that the model you are exporting has to be good to start with, garbage in garbage out.  Check that File > Properties > Stock Consistency Check is checked as well

Re: stl

While Vericut is a master manipulator of STL files, trying to save a cut stock STL is not something it does well.

Improving quality and minimizing size of output .stl files, an enhancement request that has been open for a very long time.
