Automatic Syntax checking upon simulation run

:?: Hello everyone.
Is there a way to have Syntax checker automatically run upon simulation launch?
I have noticed that there is and has been a way to stop at tool changes, text, and so on but not because of Syntax errors.
(the predefined ones under Configurations>Word Format>Syntax Check....)
Maybe a script?

Thanks in advance

Re: Automatic Syntax checking upon simulation run

Hello,

Why you want to do it during simulation?

In VERICUT you can go to the Analysis > Perform Syntax Check and then VERICUT will automatically scan all your NC Programs and find all errors- which you defined in Syntax Check tab -  in them.

Hello,
My point is to make it automated if you would like to.
To take out human error as mush as possible.
Plus if you check syntax before simulation, this is good. But if you make changes on the fly. Adding notes and such. Forget an end parenthetical statement or ?. Back up a few lines. Continue to simulate and it currently will not catch the mistake. Now if you remember to run the Syntax check again all is good.

I believe this would be a good addition to the current ways to have it stop simulation, tool change, ect. Like the image below. Or stick it in the pulldown.

Currently I am on 7.2.1
And I have spoke to support about this. They have been helping out. We will see.

Re: Automatic Syntax checking upon simulation run

Hello,

OK, I agree with You, this feature can be a nice enhancement in new version of VERICUT software in such as cases as you wrote.

At this moment, maybe you can add a MessageMacro to G-Code Processing > Start of Processing > Global where you can write: "Remember to check syntax before close the VERICUT session" - it will show you in VERICUT Logger always when you put the reset button. Maybe this option can be useful for you smile

Installed 7.3.1 and cannot find anything just yet.
I hope they put it in there.

Re: Automatic Syntax checking upon simulation run

Did anyone enter an SCR ( software change request ) for this ?

I'll make sure there is an SCR for this feature.

Re: Automatic Syntax checking upon simulation run

There are several scr's for features relating to Syntax Check including Stop at Syntax Error, macros to start syntax checks etc

The more requests via your local Tech Support guys there are, the more likely it will get done.
