how to set up subroutine HOME_R

Hello all

I have modified a control file to suit one of our machines that we have just finished retrofitting with a Siemens 840d controller for turning , and it is work ok, I just need to sort out some final touches.

1. We use two subroutine, HOME_L & HOME_R to send the heads to the machine home points, when called on the machine, it cancels the work co ord and rapids to the MCS home in radius, while the rest of the time it is in WCS diameter, what do I need to modify to set this up, I am currently replacing the commands with G00 X1600 Z845 run the programs.

2. We program speed control in the left head ( head 2 ), I have found that I need to insert a speed command in the start of the right head program (head 1 ) to make it work, what can I do to fix this.

3. when animating the movements, it is smooth until one head wants to rapid while the other is feeding, it then animate in a jerking way and slows to a crawl, then resumes when either both heads are in rapid or both heads are feeding, how can I improve this.

We are now seeing real gains using the software, as simulation cycle times are withing a few seconds of actural, it is allowing us to fine tune the process before hitting the floor

We would really like to fine tune it more

You might want to ask your local CGTech support to help fix this issue?
