tool / cut resolution (SOLVED)

I am using a milling tool that has a shape on the OD. It has a few angled lines and small radii.
I brought the tool in as an stl file. It looks fine in the tool library area and in the machine/stock view,
but in the workpiece view, all the radii are chopped off and displayed as chamfers instead.
When I simulate the cut, the results show the part cut with the incorrect, chamfered shape, and
not the true rounded shape that is displayed in the machine / stock view.

I would recommend to use a profile as cutter instead of STL. You can create a DXF and import it in Tool Manager. The profile has to be generated in XY plane, you can find an example in the samples folder.

Re: tool / cut resolution (SOLVED)

Thank you MustaphaC,
That corrected the issue!

Although I had already tried the dxf route previously, with no success, after your suggestion, I experimented a little further.
Here's what I found: Exporting the DXF from Unigraphics NX, the geometry must be on the XY plane of the Absolute work coordinates,
Not from a save WCS on any other different plane. Once I moved the  geometry to the Absolute XY plane and then output the DXF as R14 version,
This R14 step may not have been required. Then all worked fine, as shown in picture.
Thanks again.
