Unable to change the color of a machine component?

Hi,

We noticed we're not able to change the color of a machine component without a machine simulation license in the session...

This is weird since in theory we can have a programmer using the machine simulation license and have another guy building a machine... the guy building a machine won't be able to simulate it but sometimes you don't need to... for example, when changing the color of a component...

Is this a bug or works as per design?

Re: Unable to change the color of a machine component?

I haven't asked for an official ruling, but it seems logical that if you can add components without a license then you should also be able to change the component color.

I will open an enhancement request to address this.  Thanks for bringing it up!

For reference: SCR #10143 -- Change machine component or model color without Machine Simulation license
