Novice with Vericut

I have just started using Vericut and have had some very basic training using the mastercam interface. My question is this, in the G-code table what is "Register" telling Vericut. I am learning basically
thru trial and error. I have been setting this to "1" on both setups Op 1 (top of part) and Op 2 (bottom of part).

Thanks in advance for your help

Re: Novice with Vericut

Register is used to tell VERICUT which origin number is used. For example for a Fanuc or Siemens control for a Work Offset called by G54 you will use a Table "Work Offset" with a Register = 54.
If you are not using a Work Offset you can define the NC Program origin by using "Program Zero" table register "1" which is automatically applied when you hit the Reset button.
Tip: Display "Driven Point Axis" to see where the tool tip will go if you type in MDI X0Y0Z0. You can display axis from View > View Axis...
