Re: New guy from WA

Hi Michael,

You are very smart to ask this question.

Getting training would sure get you productive, in a cost effective manner.
There is a plethora of new and usable features, from 5.4 to 7.1.

The downside of not having training, is to loose a lot of productivity, and also ..... you don't want to miss an error because if improper settings, due to lack of training.

I have been using Vericut since 1990. I do my own internal training for new hires, and use a combination of the Vericut help files, in addition to my own PowerPoint's, documents training files, and Videos. Truth is, since we are in L.A., if we hired a guy that new zero about Vericut, it would be best to just send him down to OC, (orange county), and have him take a class, in a formal, sequestered setting.

If I were you, I would send a e-mail to CGTech, and ask for the agenda, for basic training, and also the MS training.

An Option to consider, in on site consulting. Depending on your skill set with 5.4, you may get a lot out of 2 or 3 days with a AE at your facility, working side by side. you can gloss over the areas you already are familiar, an get right into what you NEED.

Good luck,
Dave

Dave,

Thank you very much for your input. Since CGTech is going to have classes up here, in Tacoma, I will probably attend those.
