simulation color for tool gauges

Hi all,

I´m using vericut 5.3.4 with proEngineer and when i try to simulate a toolpath in vericut, during the simulation i have several gauges (that i´ve created) that are not detected with a different color. Only with Auto-diff i can compare the result.

Is this intentional or is there any configuration parameter that needs to be active in order to see this gauges during simulation.

Thanks in advance.

Re: simulation color for tool gauges

Hi,
I have not used proEngineer. Without Auto-diff, Vericut can detect the following and (not the gouges)

1. Any cutting at rapid
2. Any cutting of fixture at feed or at rapid
3. At collision of holders at feed or at rapid (provided display of holders is "ON").

The gouges are not detected by Vericut as these are cut at feed rate. By doing auto-diff only, the system can tell you the gouges.

I hope it helps.

Re: simulation color for tool gauges

What you are asking could be a good enhancement. I am thinking that it could be simple for vericut to cut the design solid in addition to the stock solid when machining. If anything getting cut in the design solid should be red in color. The cut tolerance would apply here. That way you would know any more violations in the design without going for auto-diff.
