Mastercam to vericut interfac

Anyone using mastercam to vericut interface with X4 on 4 and 5 axis programs? We just purchased it, and the vericut trainer set it up on 3 axis parts. worked like a charm if you have your tool planes set up top top top. but what about on say a horizontal part where I use top front front? when I bring it stuff into Vericut it always wants to put the part in as I set it up with the wcs in matching mastercam which is not situated right on the machine. Is there a setting in mastercam which will export top front front to basically top top top, do I have to trick it? I'm lost, and until I figure it out I will just keep on setting up my vericut sessions for 4 and 5 axis programs in Vericut alone. any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Mastercam to vericut interfac

If you are using Front T/C palne to do Horizontal programming at B0 in Mastercam. (I do the same)
What you will tneed to do is in Vericut rotate your stock and fixtures 90°
Or in MC from right side view rotate your fixtures and stock -90° This is because Vericut see's a Horizontal machine as using Top for B0.
If you programmed in Mastercam as Top view being B0 you would be fine. But this is not the case I and many other users use Front as B0. for Horizontal programming.

This is what I do.
1, Copy fixtures, stock and part model all to sepperate levels in MC (vericut fixture, vericut stock, vericut part)
2, With only the new levels now on using Right view rotated all -90°
3, Save each level as STL files. (Vericut fixture stl, Vericut stock stl, Vericut part stl)
4, In Vericut import the Stock, Fixtures as model files. I also import the part file as a model file so I can compare cut stock against part model.
