Edit machine configuration

Hi!!!!

How change the actual Vericut 7.0 machine?.................(for example, Makino_a51.mch)

I need to add a table, for tow operations, first on the table 1 with a part in vertical position and the same part in horizontal positions on the another table for complete the part.

Are there any example in Vericut with M60.......(in metric)?

I think that in Vericut 5.4 / 6.2 was it..................... :?

Salu2.

Re: Edit machine configuration

Ever sins V6 you can have multiple setups.
Reading your question I think you want this in 1 setup.
If you want to position 2 parts on 2 pallets and work with 1 nc-program you might try this.

  • Run simulation from beginning to M60 (end of 1st operation)
    Save cut stock as vct
    Reset simulation
Import vct as stock and attach/position to 2nd pallet
    Run simulation

After the 1st op M60 causes the other pre-cut stock to be loaded into machine and simulation continues on pre-cut stock.

Personally, I would prefer to use multiple setups in the simulation.

Re: Edit machine configuration

Thanks for your reply paehv,

But I can´t find a machine with two pallets, to use with only one program in the same time, I explain to you:

In a real cnc machine (2 pallets) (1 program) (2 parts inside: pallet 1 with new part / pallet 2 with a part finish in pallet 1 -ok I save cut stock to load in pallet 2). For me the best simulation is this - like a real cnc machine. But I have not a example machine with 2 pallets................Have you any example like this (in metric).

So, Your way with multiple setups also need a machine with 2 pallets, ins´t? (if not you can´t kow exactly the cicle time)

I remenber that in older versions there are 2 pallets examples..................... :?

Thanks.

Re: Edit machine configuration

When using 2 setups: just position the part on the pallet as is it were another pallet.
You can use M60 command to switch from one setup to the next (and even have the pallet change time added to the cycle time)
but you will need individual nc-programs to work with multiple setups.

I don't know how familiar you are with creating/changing vericut Machines/Controllers.
Attached is an Example of a Makino A77
Command M98 P9130 performs a pallet change (defined in .sub file)
This example does NOT do what you desire but it will give you hopefully some clues on how to get things going.

If you have to do this often I advise you to change your method to using multiple setup's and seperate NC-prog's
(Makes live much easier  )
