Hi guys,
Is is normal that Auto-Diff not catching Holder-stock collisions?
Also is it normal that Vericut only making the area of the collision between the holder and stock model red but not giving the error and stop or write it down into Vericut log?
Is that just because of minimum error volume?

First question:
Yes, the collision volume is not saved with the cut stock. Only the trace of the intersection is preserved. This is to avoid missing a collision because the material was previously removed by the holder. This way all collision between holder and stock are detected. this is why it is not available for AUTO-DIFF.
In X-Caliper, you can display the volume caused by the tool/stock collision by selecting the icon "Display Tool/Stock Collisions". You can then measure it's thickness or features like a cut stock. It does not require an AUTO-DIFF license.
Second question:
Like every errors where a volume of material is removed, the Minimum Error Volume setting will apply.

Thank you very much.
I already know that i can measure it with X-caliper but it was a big part and i could have missed it.
Because i only look at the Vericut log most of the time. If there's no problem there i send it directly to the shop floor.
This time i had lots of time and checked all the part.
Can the minimum error volume be the reason why Vericut missed it?
The version is 6.1.2.

There are good chances that it is caused by the minimum error volume. Test with a smaller value. In general, it is never good when the holder is rubbing on the cut part.
In 7.0, you can specify a near-miss value between the holder and the cut stock. So if you tool comes within a certain range from the part, it will give you a warning.
