We need Fast feed for each of the cutters too

We would like to see an option to enter fast feed for each of the cutters in addition to the global fast feed value. This will improve the system in detecting fast feed for each of the cutters.

Re: We need Fast feed for each of the cutters too

This would be a good idea.  I have broaching tools that cut at 400 IPM, so I have to set the fast feed at 401.  That is way too fast for all the other tools.

You can add comments in your program to override the value in Setup > Motion

Just add these comments before the tool changes. some customers include this in the post-processor.

Examples of use:

Set the Fast Feed data field value to “100”:

APT/CLS => PPRINT/VERICUT-MODAL FASTFEED=100

G-code (Fanuc) => (VERICUT-MODAL FASTFEED=100)

Thanks Serge,

I did not know you could do that.  That does help, but a new field in the tool manager would be much more convienient.

I agree with this suggestion.  This gives control of the setting to the individual users.  We discourage edits to the toolpath file.
