When viewing an AVI generated from Vericut we need the following to make the AVI a useful reference tool in the shop.
1. Some way to display the active tool ID. Some way for the AVI to include Status, Toolpath line display etc if selected.
2. Some way to display part name and Engineering rev. A note or watermark on a corner. This could be text entered when setting up the AVI creation. Continually changing file names for Engineering revs give database management systems heartburn.
3. The ability to create a separate AVI file for each tool, automatically.
4. Creation of an AVI with OPENGL active. Performance, always performance.

After looking at 6.0x I would like ANY Docked window to be included in the AVI file creation. This would fullfil many of our needs for data display in the AVI. This should also be included in the .img file creation also.

You can do alot with an additional video editor like Camtasia or Sony's Vegas Video. I record the operation and then can clip, cut, & paste however I like. Camtasia has the abilty to add any watermark you want.
Vegas is very powerful as well. Both have full version demos to try.
Both are reasonably priced.

We have Camtasia. The problem using an external .AVI capture utility is the "1 move per picture" synchronization is not available. Capture is based on real time seconds. Small fast tools have many dropped moves. Larger slower tools may use too much CPU causing a slow down loop between Vericut and the AVI capture utility.
Too many frames per second on external capture becomes a self defeating loop, slowing everything down. Vericut and screen capture are both heavy on the CPU.
This is why we need the native .avi capture in Vericut to include Docked windows, so we can get the display synchronization with the NC Program listing and Status info display the shop wants.

Review functions now allow these functions. Reviewer is still rev specific is the one draw back.
