Hello
I am currently working on a project that requires me to compare my machined model and the ideal model.
So for my case of ideal model, I import my .igs file into VERICUT under Component Type: Design.
VERICUT then converts my .igs into Vericut Polygon file.
Then I proceed on to click add-->ok-->cancel in the modelling tab, there is nothing shown in my display, just a wireframe box without and design. As shown in the picture attached.
I would like to know whether is this some kind of graphics bug? Or just normal?
Thanks

That's normal. The design model doesn't show up in "workpiece view". Switch to "machine view" and you should see it.
I'm sure there's a good reason for it, I just don't know it.
Cheers.

There are two easy ways of showing the Design in the workpiece view.
First : Analysis > X-Caliper > Stock/Design Distance where you can see them both and measure the differences.
This feature is in Verification so it is avaiable to everyone.
Second: Analysis > AUTO-DIFF where you can compare the Cutstock with the design solid to show gouges and excess material. This is a (recommended) option.

If you hide the stock model and double click on the design model in the vericut tree it will open the modeling properties window and display the part model on the screen.
