Machine Simulation Abnormal Termination from V5.4.3

Hi Jim,
Sorry for the trouble. Does this seem to be limited to 5.4.3? Or does a previous 5.4 exhibit the same symptom? Anything else changed on the computers or in your environment besides the VERICUT version?

Sometimes you can induce a crash by moving the space-mouse at the same time you move the mouse pointer and click on a menu. But I think we fixed that problem (or at least made it really hard to crash) in 5.4.3.

When the crash happens, a trace file is automatically created by the java run-time program, I think in the users home directory, or maybe the current working directory. The file name is hs_err_pid_xxxxxx.log Can you send that file in to our tech support guys so they can pass it on to engineering? It may or may not help identify which internal routine was active when the crash happened.
